Google Notes ( English Google Keep ) is an online service from the US company Google , which enables the management of text, voice and picture notes . Notes can be shared with other people and also edited by them. Notes can be marked in color and reminders can be added. Using text recognition text can be converted into editable notes and these in turn to images from Google Docs to export. Voice recordings can be transcribed .

The service is offered as a mobile app for the Android and iOS operating systems and as a web application in the web browser . There is also a browser extension for the in-house browser Chrome , which also works offline . Saved notes can also be accessed directly from the Google Docs web interface.

Google Notes has been available since March 20, 2013 and is free. In Germany, the service has been called “Google Notes” since version 2.2.05.
