Google patent is a digital library and search engine for patents from Google .

Google Patents started with US patents on December 14, 2006 . The application indexes patent applications and with full text from 17 patent offices. These include the United States Patent and Trademark Office , the European Patent Office , the Japanese Patent Office and, since 2013, the German Patent and Trademark Office , the World Intellectual Property Organization and the Chinese Patent Office .

Google also uses Google Translate to provide patent information in the user's language.
