Gordon John Garradd (* 1959 ) is an Australian photographer , astronomer and asteroid explorer .

Between 1993 and 2000 he discovered a total of 29 asteroids. In addition, there are four Novae in the Large Magellanic Cloud and 16 comets on his list of discoverers.

He worked at various astronomical institutes in the United States and Australia . He is currently working at the Siding Spring Observatory , where he focuses on the observation of near-earth objects .
