Gordon Lueckel

Gordon Lueckel (born August 6, 1964 in New York ) is a German management consultant , speaker and author .

Life

Gordon Lueckel was born in New York. In his early youth, he moved to the Rhineland with his parents and sister Victoria (* 1968). After graduating from high school in 1983, he studied economics at the University of Cologne . During his studies he worked for Hildegard Hamm-Brücher , Volker Rühe and Reinhard Furrer . In 1988 he was a participant in the International Space University program at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology , Cambridge , USA. His teachers there included u. a. the Apollo 11 astronaut Edwin "Buzz" Aldrin . From 1989 to 1991 he worked for Deutsche Lufthansa in the public relations department in Frankfurt, Atlanta and Beijing. Thereafter, he was active in the top management trainee program at Bertelsmann AG in Gütersloh and Wiesbaden, then as an executive assistant and sales manager in Munich.

In 1994 Lueckel switched to self-employment as a corporate consultant in the field of communication. In 2000 he founded Yupik Marketing Public Relations GmbH as managing partner, based in Cologne, which he sold in 2018 in order to devote himself exclusively to his lecturing and consulting activities in the field of innovation, especially eco-innovation (sustainable innovation) and digital transformation .

Lueckel is the author of numerous non-fiction books. As a jazz pianist he recorded the CD A tonal journey under the pseudonym Marc Gordon for the Cologne label Independent Artists .

He lives in Pulheim near Cologne, is married and has two daughters and a son.

Award

In 1988 Lueckel received the “Annual Award” from the Space Foundation “for special achievement in the field of lunar base development design” from the shuttle astronaut Joseph Allen .
