Gorilla Monsoon is a doom and stoner band from Dresden, founded in 2001 .

history

The first gig took place in Heavy Duty on July 21 of the same year . After their victory at the Wacken Metal Battle 2005 they were signed by Armageddon Music .

The 2006 debut album Damage King was recorded together with live mixer Tino Bensing in the summer of 2005 within three weeks in the GCF Laboratory studio in Dresden. This was followed by a tour with Metal Church (2006) and Trouble (2008).

They recorded their second album, Extermination Hammer , in the Absurd Studios Hamburg under the direction of Thomas Schröder. It was released on November 17, 2008 via Wacken Records . In January 2010 the band Disbelief invited them to tour Germany together with Lay Down Rotten . In early 2011, long-time guitarist Phil left the band and was replaced by KK, previously guitarist with Ganymed and Artless.
