Coordinates: 32 ° 4 ′  S , 115 ° 59 ′  E The City of Gosnells is a local government area (LGA) in the Australian state of Western Australia . Gosnells belongs to the metropolis of Perth , the capital of Western Australia. The area is 128 km² and has around 118,000 inhabitants (2016).

Gosnells is located south of the Swan River about 15 to 25 kilometers southeast of Perth city ​​center . The seat of the City Council is in the Gosnells district, where about 20,000 people live (2016).

The Gosnells Council has twelve members. They are elected by all residents of the city. Gosnells is not divided into districts. The mayor and council chairman of the city are also recruited from among the councilors.
