Gottelhof (Wullersdorf municipality)

The Gottelhof is an estate in the cadastral community of Immendorf in Lower Austria .

history

The estate belonging to the Immendorf rulership is located on the southern slope of the Buchberg between the towns of Immendorf and Kalladorf and consists of several buildings and stables around a courtyard. It was rebuilt in 1895 and was originally designed for 48 dairy cows, 14 draft oxen and 4 horses in order to run dairy farming as well as to cultivate the surrounding fields and was a model farm in the interwar period. Until the post-war period it was inhabited by an administrator and agricultural workers and their families. Cattle farming was abandoned in the 1980s. At last only harvest workers were housed. Agricultural implements are currently stored in the barns, while the rest of the estate is unused.

In 2011 the uninhabited residential building of the Gottelhof was demolished because this was required for the approval of a wind farm.
