The Nexenhof is an estate in Wullersdorf in Lower Austria .

history

The Nexenhof, located between the villages of Grund and Schöngrabern, was a farm belonging to the Immendorf rulership , which was established in the 18th century. A village called Nessingdorf had already been located here in 1115 and was last mentioned in a document in 1386. In 1805 the farm was cremated during the French Wars. In 1835 two families (18 adults and five children) lived here on the estate, and there were four horses, two oxen, three cows, 1100 sheep and three pigs.

The farm, made up of several residential buildings and stables around a courtyard, was rebuilt and expanded after a fire in December 1890. In the interwar period, it was considered a model agricultural business and was the seat of the N.-Ö. Agricultural distillery Nexenhof reg. Gen.mbH In 1974 the Grund 100 group bought the Nexenhof and founded a municipality here. Today there is still a loose shared apartment including a leisure and seminar center.
