Gottfried Hendtzschel
Gottfried Hendtzschel (* before 1620 in Breslau ; †) was a German painter .
Hendtzschel, who came from Breslau in Silesia , was a student of the painter Peter Reimers from Neustadt in Holstein . At that time Holstein belonged to Denmark as well as Norway . Most of the known works can be found in Norway. Gottfried Hendtzschel created numerous altarpieces and depictions of the crucifixion, often based on Italian models.
