Goundam County

Goundam is the name of a district (French cercle de Goundam ) in the Timbuktu region in Mali .

The district is divided into sixteen municipalities, the population in the 2009 census was 150,150.

Municipalities: Goundam (main town), Adarmalane , Alzounoub , Bintagoungou , Douekire , Doukouria , Essakane , Gargando , Issa Bery , Kaneye , M'Bouna , Razelma , Tele , Tilemsi , Tin-Aicha , Tonka .
