Suomen Palloliitto (SPL) ( Finnish ) or Finlands Bollförbund (FBF) ( Swedish ) (about "Finland's Ballunion") is the Finnish football association.

The Football Association of Finland was founded in 1907. A year later they joined FIFA . In 1954 the Finnish association was one of the founding members of UEFA . The Finnish national soccer team has not yet qualified for any European Championship or World Cup. The greatest success so far was fourth place at the 1912 Summer Olympics . The women's national team made it to the semi-finals when they first participated in the 2005 European Championships .

The association takes care of the organization of the Veikkausliiga , the Finnish football professional league and the highest women's division SM-Sarja . Furthermore, the association organizes the games of the national teams and the junior teams. Since 1953, the association has also chosen the Footballer of the Year in Finland .

The Finnish Football Association hosted the European Women's Championship in 2009 . Previously, the U-18 European Championships in 1982 and 2001 , the U-19 European Women's Championship in 2004 and the U-17 World Cup in 2003 took place in Finland .

Until 1972, Suomen Palloliitto was also responsible for bandy sport in Finland, before Suomen Jääpalloliitto was founded as the Finnish bandy association on March 18, 1972 .
