The Lithuanian Football Federation ( LFF ) is the Lithuanian Football Federation . It is based in Vilnius .
history
The LFF is responsible for the organization of football in Lithuania and is therefore responsible, among other things, for the Lithuanian national football team . It also chooses the Footballer of the Year in Lithuania every year .
The Football Association of Lithuania was founded after independence in 1922 and joined FIFA the following year . During the time of the Soviet occupation after the Second World War, the association was dissolved and in 1992, after regaining independence, it became a member of FIFA again and, for the first time, UEFA .
