The Football Association of Wales (FAW, Welsh : Cymdeithas Bêl-droed Cymru ) is the football association in Wales .
The association was founded in 1876, making it the third oldest football association in the world after the two largest associations in the United Kingdom, England and Scotland . Together with the three other Home Nations associations from England, Scotland and Northern Ireland , the FAW is a permanent member of the International Football Association Board , which is responsible for the FIFA football rules.
The federation is responsible for the Welsh national football team and the Welsh national football team for women , as well as all junior national teams.
