The Liechtenstein Football Association (LFV) is the umbrella organization of the Liechtenstein football clubs . It was founded in 1934. In 1974 the association became the 142nd member of the world association FIFA and 34th member of the European football association UEFA ; eight years later, the Liechtenstein national football team's first international match was played.

The LFV comprises seven clubs with around 1,700 active footballers. It is the only member association of UEFA that does not have a championship of its own, but conducts an independent cup competition .

President of the Liechtenstein Football Association is Hugo Quaderer , Secretary General is Peter Jehle . One of the former presidents is Ernst Nigg , under whose leadership Liechtenstein took part in a European Championship qualifying round for the first time.
