Hugo Quaderer (born March 22, 1965 in Grabs ) is a former Liechtenstein politician ( VU ). From 2005 to 2013 he was a member of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein as a member of the government . In March 2015, Quaderer became President of the Liechtenstein Football Association .

Quaderer is married and lives in Schaan with his wife Sieglinde and their two children . In his free time, the former active footballer can get enthusiastic about a wide variety of sporting activities, such as jogging or biking . The politician Karin Rüdisser-Quaderer is his older sister.

biography

Quaderer attended from 1977 to 1985, the Liechtenstein Grammar School and studied after graduating from the University of St. Gallen Law . From 1991 he initially worked for the municipal administration in Schaan as a municipal secretary and human resources officer. During this time he completed a year and a half training as a personnel assistant. In October 1997 he took over the position of head of the commercial law department at the Office of Economics in the Liechtenstein national administration. In 1999 he was promoted to head of the economics department. During this time he was also chairman of the examination committee for the specialist examination in the hospitality industry and of the examination committee for the specialist examination for masons and carpenters. He also worked part-time as a lecturer at the University of Liechtenstein .

In 2001 Hugo Quaderer was elected to the Liechtenstein Parliament . He belonged to the parliamentary group of the Fatherland Union, of which he was group spokesman from 2004. As a member of the state parliament, he was a member of the EFTA - EEA parliamentary delegation and the parliamentary assembly of the OSCE states. In 2005 he was re-elected. Since April 21, 2005, as a member of the government, he was responsible for education, environment, space, agriculture and forestry as well as social affairs. After the Fatherland Union emerged as the strongest party in the state elections in the state elections in 2009 , Hugo Quaderer was again a member of the government of the Principality of Liechtenstein as a councilor. As such, from March 25, 2009, he was responsible for the interior affairs, education and sport departments.

In the state elections in Liechtenstein in 2013 , however, Quaderer no longer stood up for election and subsequently resigned from the government office when the new government was sworn in on March 27, 2013. Shortly thereafter, he was appointed to the Board of Directors of IFM Independent Fonds Management AG , a Liechtenstein fund management company.

In 2013 he was awarded the Commander's Cross of the Princely Liechtenstein Order of Merit .
