The Fridolfinger See is located in the north of the Rupertiwinkel on the federal road 20 in the municipality of Fridolfing in the Upper Bavarian district of Traunstein . He is one limnological to the standing water .
Gravel is mined at the southern end , which is why the lake is still expanding, while the rest of the lake is very popular as a bathing lake . A modern infrastructure has been created for bathers ( beach volleyball courts , local water guard group , barbecue areas , etc.).
Especially outside the bathing season, the Fridolfinger See is also used by sport fishermen . In most winters, the lake freezes over completely and provides a stable layer of ice. Locals use this for curling and ice skating .
