Timbuktu County

Timbuktu is the name of a district (French cercle de Tombouctou ) in the Timbuktu region of the same name .

The district is divided into six municipalities, the population in the 2009 census was 124,546. Municipalities: Timbuktu (main town), Alafia , Ber , Bourem Inaly , Lafia , Salam .
