The Gourlay Point is a headland on the east coast of Signy Iceland in the archipelago of the South Orkney Islands . It is the southernmost of three ice-free headlands at the eastern end of the Gourlay Peninsula .
Participants in the British Discovery Investigations conducted a survey in 1933. They named the headland after Ronald George Gourlay (1900-1987), engineer on the ships RRS Discovery and RRS Discovery II during the research trips in the period from 1925 to 1927, 1929 to 1937 and from 1937 to 1939.
