Goveđari is a village in the north-western part of the island of Mljet , has 179 inhabitants and is located above the Veliko Jezero bay. At the end of the 18th century, Goveđari was founded by Benedictines. It is the largest place in the Mljet National Park , the administration of which is also located in the village.
