Goz Beïda is a small town in the southeast of Chad and the capital of the Sila region and the Kimiti department, created in 2008. Until 2008 it was the capital of the Sila department. Goz Beïda has around 41,248 inhabitants.

Goz Beïda is about 70 kilometers from the border with Sudan ( Darfur region). Thousands of refugees from Sudan live here.

The city can be reached via the Goz Beïda airport , among other places .
