Västragården burial ground

The cemetery of Västragården is a prehistoric burial ground west of Sävsjö in the Swedish municipality of Sävsjö in the historical province of Småland .

The field is north of the old road from Sävsjö to Vrigstad . Lake Sävsjön is south of the area . The area includes three grave fields, each of which was created in the Iron Age between 500 and 1050 years after the beginning of our era. The facilities include several stone settings . Underneath there are upright stones, but also mounds and graves in the shape of a star with three arms. The rune stone Västragårdstenen in the burial ground is particularly noteworthy .
