Hallsjö burial grounds
The grave fields of Hallsjö are three grave fields from the younger Iron Age in the vicinity of Hallsjö or Norre Hallsjö in the Swedish municipality of Ljungby , which are also known as the “Dörarp grave field”.
The three grave fields are not far from the church ruins of Hallsjö (Swedish: "Hallsjö kyrkoruin") and contain a total of around 150 graves. The dead were cremated and buried with grave goods. Burials took place around the year 500 AD. It is assumed that the burial grounds each belonged to different villages. The area was relatively densely populated at this time. The burials continued into the Middle Ages .
