The Gròvøya ( Norwegian for furrow island ) is an island off the Ingrid Christensen coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth Land . It is located north of the Spissøya , west of the Skòrøy and east of the Publications Ice Shelf in the southeastern part of Prydz Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them in 1946 using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 .
