The Skòrøy ( Norwegian for columns island is) an island off the Ingrid Christensen Coast of the East Antarctic Princess Elisabeth country . It lies east of the Spissøya and the Publications Ice Shelf in the southeastern part of Prydz Bay .
Norwegian cartographers, who also named them, mapped them in 1946 using aerial photographs taken during the Lars Christensen Expedition in 1936/37 .
