The RWTH Aachen start-up center is a start-up center opened in 2000 by RWTH Aachen , the Aachen Chamber of Commerce and the Sparkassen Aachen and Heinsberg . After the start-up center was launched in 2000, the Entrepreneurship Chair (WIN Chair) was set up in 2003 under the direction of Malte Brettel . Through the cooperation between the Entrepreneurship Chair and the Start-Up Center, decisive impulses for the development of entrepreneurship at RWTH have been created in recent years and since 2007, Exist III has enabled the existing offer in the areas of mobilization, primarily for scientists at RWTH- Institutes and coaching will be expanded considerably. In addition, the network of partners in the start-up center was expanded. In recent years, a value chain for founders has been established, which offers a comprehensive range, especially in the phases of mobilization, training and coaching. In order to address a further target group, the TRACE program not only offers RWTH students but also students at the FH Aachen the opportunity to deal with the topic of founding and to establish contacts with the start-up scene during their studies and without their own start-up idea.
