The grave mound 28 of the Dölauer Heide near Halle in Saxony-Anhalt is located in a Neolithic - Bronze Age settlement area of ​​various cultures , of which numerous grave mounds testify. In hill 28 can be found as fixtures and. a. Stone boxes and stone packing graves . After the excavations, six of the mounds were left open so that the fixtures can be seen.

In grave mound 28 there are two large and two small stone boxes, two stone packing graves and one grave that cannot be identified. The cap stones of Annexes 2, 3 and 4 have been placed between No. 1 and 3. The mound, which was gradually enlarged by subsequent burials and excavated in 1934, has a diameter of 20 m and was 1.9 m high.

  • Annex 4 is a north-south oriented large stone box in which a stool burial and a flint tip were found.
  • Attachment 5 is a small east-west oriented stone box, which should have come from a children's burial. The additions consisted of a decorated amphora, a decorated beaker, a flint chip and a necklace made from about 50 grains of stone seed (Lithospermum).
  • Appendix 6 was a north-south oriented stone packing grave in the eastern part of the hill. In it was a skeleton in a crouched position with no accessories. According to the construction of the grave, it can be dated to the Early Bronze Age. Nothing more can be seen of the grave.
  • Appendix 7 shows a group of ceramic vessels made up of 4 objects in which the tooth of an adult was found. The position is marked by a fence in the burial mound.
