St. Magdalena's grave church
The grave church of St. Magdalena is a church building near Greding . In old documents it was also called the grave chapel or the chapel of the grave with the sick . Later it was called the Chapel of the Most Gracious Virgin among the Infirm.
The first mention of the church was a mass foundation in the chapel , which was confirmed in 1439 by Albrecht II von Hohenrechberg . Here, lepers were cared for by a community called grave brothers or brotherhood to the grave. The church was destroyed in the Thirty Years War and between 1651 and 1653 the chapel was rebuilt by Jakob Engel . Until 1966/1967 the entrance was on the east side. The Autobahn is there today. Then the entrance was moved to the opposite side, where a Caritas nursing home was being built. During the first recording, the street passed on the eastern side.
