The grave crosses Neuwerk are in the district Neuwerk in Mönchengladbach ( Nordrhein-Westfalen ) Engel Blecker Street.

The crosses were built in the 17th and 18th centuries. They were entered under No. E 030 on August 14, 2009 in the monuments list of the city of Mönchengladbach .

location

The crosses are on Engelblecker Straße in the Neuwerk district, in the green area in front of the monastery wall, opposite the entrance to the Catholic cemetery.

architecture

There are four small, baroque grave crosses made of basalt lava and sandstone , which were built in the 17th and 18th centuries. Short cross arms with inlaid quarter bars in the corners of the cross stem, hammered inscriptions that can only be read rudimentarily , abbreviations such as B. "RIP" and "IHS" can be seen.
