Grafenberger Chaussee 32 and 34

The semi-detached house Grafenberger Chaussee 32/34 (today's Grafenberger Allee) was a commercial and residential building in Düsseldorf , which was built from 1903 to 1904 by the architect Richard Bauer (1875-1935). The elevation was particularly interesting - the house is “remarkable because of the peculiar elevation development”.

description

There was a significant difference in height between the garden area and the sidewalk, which enabled well-lit storage rooms in the courtyard basement and side wings. The street front was three stories. The facade facing the Chaussee was triaxial on the first and second floors. The shop was on the first floor. An ornamental gable in the central axis crowned the facade.
