Grafenmühle (Weißenstadt)

Grafenmühle is a village and a watermill in Upper Franconia, Bavaria . The place belongs to the city of Weißenstadt , district of Wunsiedel in the Fichtelgebirge .

The place consists only of a street (Grafenmühle), a farm, a privately owned house and the Grafenmühle.

Grafenmühle

The mill belonged to Johann Hartbauer and was built around 1868, burned down in 1884 and was upgraded as an art mill in 1910. Most of the inventory from this period has been preserved. In addition to the semi-undershot water wheel (Ø 4.2 m), this includes two grinding aisles, two roller mills, pre-cleaning (hexagon), two Askania throw sifter, dust filter, elevators , a trieur and screw conveyors. The mill house has four floors and the house has two floors. There is a very spacious attic with many of Johann Hartbauer's remains. The mill is privately owned.
