County of Boussu

The rule and later county of Boussu in Hainaut, with the town of Boussu near Mons as its center, was owned by the House of Hénin since the 13th century . Elevated to a (Dutch) county in 1555, Boussu subsequently took a back seat to the Principality of Chimay , which the family inherited in 1686.

The title Prince of Chimay was carried on by the descendants of the sister of the last Prince from the Riquet family (as a Dutch recognition) from 1824, the title "Comte de Boussu" apparently not.
