Granatovaya Sopka Island ( Russian Остров Гранатовая Сопка Ostrow Granatowaja Sopka , German 'pomegranate volcano island ' ) is a 450 m long, 150 m wide and up to 22 m high island off the Knox coast of the East Arctic Wilkesland . On the edge of the Bunger Oasis , it is 1.8 km northwest of Cape Eolovyj in the Rybij Khvost Gulf .
Soviet scientists mapped and named them in 1956. The Antarctic Names Committee of Australia translated this name into English.
