The Grand Lake is a lake in the Canadian province of New Brunswick .
Centrally located in New Brunswick, Grand Lake is the largest lake in the province. The lake is located 25 miles east of the provincial capital Fredericton in Queens County . The 173 km² large lake is only 4 m above sea level. The Grand Lake is oriented in NE-SW direction and has a length of 37.7 km and a maximum width of 5.3 km. The main tributary is the Salmon River , which flows into Grand Lake south of Chipman not far from the northern end of the lake. At the southern end of the lake, the Grand Lake is drained over the 6.4 km long Jemseg River to the Saint John River .
The Trans-Canada Highway runs from Fredericton to Moncton not far from the southern lakeshore . There are several small settlements and campsites along the lakeshore.

The lake acts as a heat store and has a balancing effect on heat and cold periods in the surrounding area. That is why the region around the lake has the warmest climate in the province. The lake is surrounded by several wetlands called Grand Lake Meadows .
