The Grande Rivière de l'Anse La Raye is a river on the west coast of the Caribbean island of St. Lucia . It bears the name of the place of the same name and the bay.
geography
The river rises in the center of the island in the area of Quarters Anse-la-Raye . It runs from Morne Parasol to the north, forms the waterfalls Anse La Raye Falls ( ⊙ ) and then runs in a north-westerly direction until it comes to the sea in the south of the town of Anse-la-Raye and flows into the Caribbean Sea at Anse La Raye Bay . Adjacent are the two smaller rivers Anse Galet River (in the south) and Petite Rivière de l'Anse La Raye , which flows into the same bay on the north side of the village.
