Grass mat

A grass mat is used in model landscapes to represent meadows , fields , lawns or fallow land in larger areas as realistically as possible.

The finest fibers in various - mostly green - colors are applied to a base made of plastic fabric or thin paper . The mats are glued to the shell landscape. Alternatively or additionally, loose grass litter is used.
