The gray-bellied narrow-foot pouch mouse ( Sminthopsis griseoventer ) is a species of marsupial from the genus of the narrow-foot pouch mouse that is endemic to Australia .

The length of the head rump is between 65 and 95 mm, plus a tail which, at 65 to 98 mm, is roughly the same length as the rest of the body. The olive-gray ear is between 17 and 18 mm long, the rear foot 16 to 17 mm. The weight varies between 15 and 25 g.
distribution and habitat
The distribution area is in Western Australia , in coastal areas of the southwest and in associated ranches. Overall, it barely extends 100 km inland. In December 2003, a new population was discovered in South Australia on the Eyre Peninsula in two national parks . However, this population is not a subspecies of its own. The habitat consists of heathland, forest and swamp lands.
Way of life
Sminthopsis griseoventer is nocturnal and lives in leaf litter and holes in the ground. The 8 boys are born a few centimeters below the ground. This process takes place in August on Boullanger Island and in October in the other areas. The diet consists of insects , small mammals, reptiles and amphibians .
