The Graveyard Johnnys are a British rockabilly band from Chepstow in South Wales .
history
With the founding by Tom Lord and Joe Grogan in 2008, the Graveyard Johnnys began to continuously build up the reputation of an excellent live band in the rockabilly scene. Their first self-produced single Streetblocks and City Lights was played on the Radio 1 Punk Show, which, according to the band, ensured that every single pressing of the single was completely sold out. This was followed by further appearances in the BBC Studio for various sessions. Despite the first major attention, the Graveyard Johnnys continued to tour, which led to the wear and tear of two full-time guitarists and then had the consequence that changing guitarists played at the following gigs. It was only when the Graveyard Johnnys tour bus was on the European tour in 2011 that Tom and Joe decided it was time to take a break from touring and devote themselves to the studio album. This is how her debut album Songs from Better Days came about during this time .
