Green Lane Mosque
The Green Lane Masjid ( Green Lane Masjid ) was considered in the 1970s mosque established and is one of Birmingham's largest mosques and the national headquarters of the Markazi Jamiat Ahl-i Hadith in the UK .
The mosque is on a prominent corner lot on Green Lane in the Small Heath neighborhood, in a building originally built as a public library and baths by architects Martin & Chamberlain in red brick and terracotta in Gothic Jacobean style between 1893 and 1902 . Classified as a " building of special architecture or historical interest " (Grade II) by the monument protection. The building complex includes prayer rooms for men and women, a communal hall, a madrasa , a library, a shop and offers funeral services for the local community.
