Green Island ( Dutch Groeneiland ) is a small Dutch rocky island in the Caribbean . It is located 250 m north of the island of Saba .
The island is uninhabited and partly overgrown with low subtropical plants. According to a study from 1997, brown pelicans , noddis ( Anous stolidus ), white-bellied boobies and the relatively rare red-billed tropical birds have been observed on Green Island . Of these, the three last-named species probably also nest on the island.
