Green Lantern: The Animated Series is an American CGI - television series which the superhero Green Lantern is based.

action

The focus of the plot is on Hal Jordan, the Green Lantern of Sector 2814 and Kilowog, another Green Lantern, who fight together against the Red Lanterns led by Atrocitus and the Manhunters. Atrocitus tries to take revenge on the guardians of the universe for the destruction of his homeworld.

After Phil Kent, Chairman and CEO of Time Warner's Turner Networks , announced that there would be a Green Lantern: The Animated Series , Bruce Timm's first reports, test shots and character studies were presented during 2010 New York Comic Con . At the time, 13 episodes had already been completed, five more in planning and a total of 26 episodes of a complete first season ordered. The series itself does not claim to be a retelling of the comics, but rather to tell its own story.
In the German dubbing, in contrast to the original, Aya was given a technically alienated voice so that it sounds like a computer voice.

Charisma

The pilot episode was shown in advance in November 2011 on Cartoon Network in the DC Nation program block. From March 17 to May 26, 2012, eleven additional episodes were shown. From September 29, 2012, the other episodes were originally supposed to be shown, but the broadcast was ended prematurely on October 6, 2012 after two episodes and only continued on January 5, 2013 with the 16th episode. The last episode ran on March 16, 2013.

In Germany, Kabel eins has been broadcasting the series since January 6, 2013 from around 6:49 a.m. ProSieben Maxx has shown a repeat of the series since December 2013 .
