The Green Spur (English for green spur ) is a greenish colored rock spur in the southeast of Anvers Island in the Palmer Archipelago off the west coast of the Antarctic Peninsula . It branches off from Copper Peak .
The first sighting probably goes back to participants in the Belgica expedition (1897-1899) under the direction of the Belgian polar explorer Adrien de Gerlache de Gomery . The descriptive name of the rock spur is first recorded on a map from 1927, which was created in the course of the British Discovery Investigations .
