Greg Davis (politician, 1962)

Greg Davis (* 1962 in Campbellton ) is a Canadian politician and former member of the New Brunswick Legislative Assembly .

Life

Davis was born in Campbellton, Canada, where he attended the bilingual Sugarloaf Senior High School. He then studied at St. Thomas University (STU) in Fredericton , which he completed with a Bachelor of Arts (BA).

After his training, he worked as a real estate agent in the residential and commercial property sector.

Career

Davis is a member of the Progressive Conservative Party of New Brunswick , a center-right -party in tradition of conservative Red-Tory movement. Until he was elected to the Legislative Assembly in 2010, Davis was deputy mayor of his hometown of Campbellton, responsible for finance and economic development.

During the Canada Games 2003, he volunteered for Restigouche and the Chaleur region as vice chairman of the organizing committee.

Davis was elected to the 57th Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick (English Legislative Assembly of New Brunswick, French Assemblée législative du Nouveau-Brunswick) on September 27, 2010 during the 37th general election of New Brunswick with 55.2 percent of the vote represents the legislature of the Canadian Maritime Province and meets in Fredericton. He succeeded Roy Boudreau and from 2010 to 2014 represented the constituency (canadian riding) of the Campbellton-Restigouche Center; he was replaced by René Arseneault.
