Gregor Pinke

Gregor Pinke (born July 11, 1898 in Berlin , † May 9, 1941 in Warsaw ) was a resistance fighter against the Nazi regime under Adolf Hitler .

Gregor Pinke lived in Berlin-Friedrichshain at Warschauer Strasse 46, where a memorial plaque is still attached to this day. He was a member of the Communist Party of Germany (KPD) and an active local politician with various offices in the Friedrichshain district. From 1933 he fought against the Nazi regime and collected money for the families of persecuted people. In 1938 he was arrested for resisting the Nazi regime and expelled to Poland as a stateless person . He died in Warsaw in 1941.
