The GREIFFENBERGER AG, based in Augsburg , Bavaria , is a publicly listed industrial holding company and parent company of the Greifenberger Group.

The currently only subsidiary JN Eberle & Cie. GmbH has developed into a global partner for sawing metal and in the manufacture of steel strip products with products in the high-performance band saw blades and precision band steel sectors for industrial applications.

Greiffenberger AG has been listed on the stock exchange since 1986.

history

The foundation stone of Greiffenberger AG was laid by the entrepreneur Heinz Greiffenberger , who started his own group of companies in 1981 after a successful corporate career. In 1986 he went public.

In 1981, Heinz Greiffenberger bought the remaining part of Eberle from SKF and quickly brought the company back into profitability. He invested in modern facilities and opened up new export markets. In 1986, Eberle had 340 employees despite efficient, machine production.

Eberle focuses on organic growth in the traditional product areas of metal band saw blades and precision strip steel. The focus is on the production of high-quality products with profitable margins, which, apart from volume products, should be generated by concentrating on products for demanding applications and an increasing proportion of customer-specific solutions. The very high level of internationalization will be consistently pursued, while at the same time the aim is to spread the sales base domestically.

In 2016, the subsidiary ABM Greiffenberger Antriebstechnik GmbH in Marktredwitz was sold to the Senata Group and the 75% stake in BKP Berolina Polyester & Co. KG in Velten was sold to T3 Holding GmbH. The remaining JN Eberle & Cie. GmbH in Augsburg is active in the field of metal band saw blades and precision strip steel.

Martin Döring and André Bertram have been running the company since 2019, Marco Freiherr von Maltzan is Chairman of the Supervisory Board.
