At the 2008 Summer Paralympics in Beijing , medals were awarded in two sitting volleyball competitions , one for men and one for women. The decisions were made between September 7th and September 15th, 2008 at the China Agricultural University .
Classification
The rules of the World Organization for Disabled Volleyball are played . In each game, two teams with up to twelve players each compete, six of which per team are on the field at the same time. One player may have a minimal handicap while the other five must be severely handicapped. With three sets won, a team has also won the game. A maximum of five sets are therefore played. When playing the ball, there must always be contact with the ground and the position must not be left.
