Border Guard
The border protection serves the state and supranational sovereignty . The protection of the area lying within the borders, which is determined by international law, is to be ensured through the surveillance, control and defense of the borders and their surrounding areas. When crossing the border, people or goods were and are checked by police, military or paramilitary organizational units in order to avert danger.
The border guard should not be confused with the border supervision of customs.
