Gretchen Franklin
Gretchen Franklin (born July 7, 1911 in London , † July 11, 2005 there ) was a British actress .
Life
She was a cousin of the actor Clive Dunn . Her most famous role was Franklin 1985-2000 as Ethel Skinner in the BBC - television series EastEnders . In the role she owned a dog named Willy . One of her standard sentences in the series was the question: "Oooh, where's Willy ?!"
Prior to the EastEnders , Franklin played several major roles in various television series, including Crossroads (1974) and the sitcom George & Mildred .
