Grigori Tšutšelov ( Russian Григорий Алексеевич Чучелов ; born November 4 . Jul / 17th November  1907 greg. In Harju County , Governorate of Estonia ; † 17th November 1943 at Velikiye Luki , Soviet Union ) was an Estonian football player of Russian origin.

Career

Grigori Tšutšelov was born in 1907 as an Estonian of Russian descent in the northernmost district of the Estonia governorate, which was part of the then Russian Empire .

From 1928 to 1936 Tšutšelov was active as a football player. The Tšutšelov playing on the position of the striker first played for Meteor Tallinn , and between 1931 and 1936 for Tallinna JK in the Estonian Championship .

In June 1932 Tšutšelov made his debut in the Estonian national team in the game against Sweden . It should be the only international match in the national jersey.

death

Tšutšelov fell as a soldier of the Red Army in World War II in the Soviet German war on January 15, 1943 in the Battle of Velikiye Luki at the Kalinin Front . He was part of the 249th Estonian Infantry Division (Estonian: 249th Eesti Laskurdiviis) in the 8th Estonian Rifle Corps (8th Eesti Laskurkorpus) under Lieutenant General Lembit Pärn .
