Grinder was a German speed and thrash metal band that was founded in 1985 and split again in 1991.

history

The band was founded in 1985 and consisted of singer and bassist Adrian Hahn, drummer Stefan Arnold and guitarists Andy Ergün and Lario Teklic during their main career. After two demos, the group reached a contract with No Remorse Records and released their debut album Dawn for the Living in 1988 , followed by Dead End in 1989 . The band then switched to the German label Noise Records and released their last album Nothing Is Sacred in 1991 before the band split up. The reason for the breakup was that the band had lost their record deal and the members couldn't agree on the band's future. Three quarters of a year later, but in the same year, Hahn founded the band Capricorn on bass and as singer, guitarist David Hofmann and drummer Stefan Arnold . Although all members had been active in the same band, it was decided against a revival of Grinder and for a new beginning under the name Capricorn, because they saw themselves conceptually and stylistically far removed from Grinder.

style

The band plays classic speed and thrash metal and can be compared to old Flotsam and Jetsam and Vendetta .
