The trunk of the large-leaved linden tree begins broad and massive on the ground and has several bumps, but no visible cavity. At a height of about four meters, it branches out into several upward branches. The crown is completely harmonious and secured with several wire ropes.

According to one story, the linden tree is said to have been planted on Swedish graves during the Thirty Years' War . It is said to have originated from three trees grown together. However, the shape of the crown and the structure of the trunk speak for a tree. The crown has been severely pruned in recent years.
